Amy's Transfer to Putney

Monday, 16th March was a smooth but emotional day. Amy was successfully transferred from St. Thomas’ Hospital to a leading neurological hospital in Putney, London.

Amy was joined by family and friends, accompanied by Chelsea, one of her wonderful nurses, for her move at 11.30am, after a great deal of time, the day before, spent removing the vast quantity of cards and photos that had adorned her room at St. Thomas’ during the past 11 months.

After an emotional goodbye from Amy, her family and friends to the staff, she was transferred by ambulance to Putney where she was welcomed by the staff who will be at the forefront of her rehabilitation over the coming months.

While it was an emotional occasion in some regards, this was equally balanced by feelings of optimism and pride for how far Amy has come to date.

Sue and Roger look forward to updating you on Amy’s progress from the Clifden Ward at the neurological hospital.
