Amy Update No. 4

Amy is beginning to settle into her new regime at RHN in Putney. It certainly has been a challenging week. These first few days have been very different for us all, and none more so than of course dear Amy. Meeting new people, a new environment, new ideas, new timetables, as a rehabilitation programme is brought together and put into place.
Everyone we have met at Putney have been very encompassing, and extremely kind…they are beginning to get to know Amy and of course ourselves.

She can now be taken off the ward by visitors, and out and about around the beautiful gardens, or into the café, anywhere within the grounds. By next week there should be a programme with times in place of all the various therapies that have been arranged for her.

The ward Amy is on is Clifden which is on the second floor. Visitors are encouraged and welcomed anytime between 12 – 8pm. We hope everyone will continue to visit now Amy is here, as seeing all of her friends is so important for her rehabilitation. We cannot thank you enough for your support over the last 11 months, and we hope we can look forward to seeing you during this next vital part of Amy’s journey.

The nearest tube station is Putney East ( District line from Tower Hill) It’s then a mile plus walk to RHN (If you are feeling energetic!) or a short taxi ride.

Rosie is undertaking her first race this weekend for Amy, please give her your support. All of the details can be found by clicking here.

With love,
Sue and Roger x
