A Celebration of Generosity

Recently, Amy joined her parents as they welcomed some of the builders who had contributed towards the construction of their purpose-built extension at their new home for lunch in the garden. The dust has settled, tools packed away and the paint has dried, now, Amy’s Annex is complete.

Every person of this exceptional team, led by Ian Freshwater of Maldon Building Services generously donated either their time, materials or plant hire to contribute towards the cost due on completion from Sue and Roger, allowing the building work to be completed at a reduced figure to them.

The date when Amy can finally leave the hospital and care system where she has been for over four years is still a little way in the future, as the extremely complex discharge process which we are currently working on, can take months, but the completion of the build is a hugely positive step in this long journey home, and is one we are all celebrating.

Sue and Roger are immensely grateful to all who have so generously given in the creation of Amy’s Annex.
