Our meeting with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport and Minister for aviation, Baroness Sugg and Jo Swinson MP
On Wednesday 24th January 2018, Tom and Julie Martin from The Amy May Trust met with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport and Minister for aviation, Baroness Sugg, and Member of Parliament Jo Swinson alongside Joanne, whose young son has a serious nut allergy and Aimee who too is a sufferer herself. The meeting was at the invitation of Elizabeth Sugg following Jo Swinson’s raising of the issue in the House of Commons at the end of last year following the continued success of our petition. This is an ongoing step in the promotion to make air travel safer for those who live with a nut allergy.
Over the past 5 months, we have been inundated with your personal experiences of air travel, for which we are immensely thankful. As a direct response to this, we would like to invite you to complete a short questionnaire regarding your personal experience with air travel in relation to nut allergies, either as a sufferer personally or not. All experiences, positive and negative, will be hugely welcomed and will form part of continuing conversations with relevant parties in our attempt to make air travel safer for all.
